Damyant Singh Khanoria, the chief marketing officer (CMO) of Oppo India, has stepped down from his role after a three-year stint at the smartphone company, a source confirmed the development with ETTelecom.

He joined Oppo from Apple in December 2020. Khanoria reported to Elvis Zhou, President of Oppo India. He has earlier worked at sportswear major, Adidas, for nearly 12 years.

Oppo India did not respond to ETTelecom’s emailed query seeking a comment.

Oppo was the fifth-largest smartphone brand in India in Q3 2023 with a market share of ~10%, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC). Its shipments fell 20.2% year-over-year in the third quarter, as per the research firm.
