Microsoft has just announced updates to its Power Platform Conference, with enhancements to Power Platform Copilot, designer updates for Power Automate and automated environment routing to speed up maker onboarding.

The integration of advanced AI has led to significant improvements in low-code development. More than 126,000 organisations have already adopted Microsoft’s Power Platform Copilot. The Power Platform community has also witnessed noteworthy growth, with over 5.2 million monthly active members. This community will be crucial in shaping the platform’s AI-driven future. The conference was dedicated to guiding the Power Platform community in leveraging AI technology to its fullest potential.

Microsoft has introduced new capabilities to Power Apps Copilot, making it significantly easier for developers to build data-driven websites. With just a few clicks and sentences, Copilot in Power Pages can be used to create websites and multi-step forms.

The Copilot experience streamlines website creation, reducing steps and increasing productivity. The integration of Copilot control with Power Virtual Agents’ generative actions allows every app to benefit from a powerful Copilot.

Additionally, the new flow designer in Power Automate, combined with AI assistance from Copilot, has expedited development by expanding its ability to populate more parameters in the flows and actions it generates.

Managed Environments have also been updated to simplify governance and security while automating the routing of makers to their respective development environments. This allows individuals to use the platform’s full capabilities easily in a scalable and manageable way.

The Advisor in Managed Environments will provide proactive recommendations and inline actions, helping administrators stay ahead of security threats on a larger scale. To extend the Power Platform Community, Microsoft has introduced group learning opportunities and invited participants to join the Super Users group. Those who contribute to the community’s growth will receive exclusive benefits. The Power Up program has already attracted more than 22,000 participants from over 180 countries.

Meta AI will be built in to the smart glasses as an assistant, starting with a beta rollout in the United States. A software update planned for next year will give the assistant the ability to identify places and objects that people are seeing, as well as to perform language translation.
