JioCinema has announced its partnership with the Celebrity Cricket League Season 10. The platform will live-stream the sportainment that starts on February 23. CCL is considered as the convergence of sports and entertainment in India.
Spread over four weekends and with 20 matches, CCL has eight teams representing India’s major film industries including Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Launched in 2011, Celebrity Cricket League is reported to have a wide appeal. The cumulative TV and digital reach of the previous season of Celebrity Cricket League is believed to reached out to over 250 million viewers across the country.
Other leading names associated with CCL are Salman Khan, the brand ambassador of Mumbai Heroes, Riteish Deshmukh, captain of Mumbai Heroes, Venkatesh, brand ambassador of Telugu Warriors, Akhil Akkineni, captain of Telugu Warriors, Mohanlal, co-owner of Kerala Strikers, Manoj Tiwari, captain of Bhojpuri Dabbangs, and Boney Kapoor, owner of Bengal Tigers.
