It’s the ‘beast mode’ activated even on weekdays for Animal as the film is seeing very good stability. Ever since the film has released, the collections have only exceeded expectations on a day-on-day basis. The first weekend of the film was fantabulous as well and it was facing capacity issues. Over the weekend gone by, there was no such issue around capacity and hence day-on-day growth was a possibility. This was first witnessed on Saturday when the growth was immense and then on Sunday too the film saw further rise in collections (albeit nominal) which yet again goes on to show that this one is here to stay for long.
No wonder, there were record collections all over again on Monday as well with Rs. 14.50 crores coming in and now on Tuesday, the collections yet again stayed quite good at Rs. 12.37 crores. For a biggie like this which is dealing in blockbuster collections on a day-on-day basis, to stay at these levels is excellent, and here it’s holding on to more than 50% collections of Friday (Rs. 23 crores), which is just amazing.
The film has now not just entered the Rs. 400 Crores Club but made such rapid progress that Rs. 450 crores too has come much sooner than expected. Currently, the film stands at Rs. 460.71 crores and by tomorrow it would have gone way past the Rs. 475 crores mark. That’s good because it will then have yet another open weekend ahead to add on the moolah before the weekdays begin and as a result the Rs. 500 Crores Club entry would be made inside 16-17 days itself.
All time blockbuster.
Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
